Why we publish our managed IT prices when almost nobody else will

Ring around five managed IT providers and ask what they charge, and four of them will tell you it depends. It does depend — on how many people, how many sites, what shape your environment is in. But “it depends” is also a convenient place to hide a margin, and it makes comparing providers close to impossible.

So we put the numbers on the website. Managed IT starts at $79 per user per month, the mid tier is $119, and the top tier is $169 — all ex GST, on a rolling monthly agreement rather than a three-year lock-in.

What a per-user price should include

The helpdesk. The monitoring. The patching. The security stack that actually gets watched rather than installed and forgotten. Onboarding a new starter, and offboarding someone who leaves — properly, so their access is gone the same day.

What it should not quietly include

Microsoft licensing. We pass that through at cost and itemise it, because folding it into a per-user rate is exactly how a provider hides what you are paying for the service as against the software. It also means that when a licence review saves you money — and it usually does, because half the tenancies we inherit are paying for people who left — that saving actually shows up on your bill instead of ours.

If a number on this page has changed by the time you read it, the price block at the top of the page is the source of truth. Ask us for a written quote against your actual headcount and we will hold it.
